I would classify this as an easy/medium hike because there is a steep incline at the end. From the top, you can see the highest mountain in Spain, which is also located in the Sierra Nevada: the Mulhacén.

Practical info: navigate to Fuente del Hervidero, but don’t go towards the tavern. Follow the dirt road past it instead. You will end up at a parking lot. You can start walking from there. At some point, you will see a little white cabin on the top, that’s where you’re heading. You can choose to walk back to the parking lot through the meadows, but I personally prefer walking back the way I came because I enjoy walking through a mountain landscape more. The hike has little to no shade, so I would avoid going during summer unless very early in the morning (it heats up quickly!), and bring enough water for your dog + a cooling vest.
