Satin Balls For Dogs: How To Make Your Dog Gain Weight Fast

Most of our dogs are rescues, and we foster dogs that are still looking for their furever home. These dogs were rescued from the streets and were not in good shape when they arrived at the shelter. They’re full of parasites, have all kinds of diseases and are malnourished. We recently took in a Pomsky, his name is Pommelu. He has a very thick coat, but underneath he’s all skin and bones. Our Bruce has also lost some weight recently (reason unknown), so today, I made them some Satin Balls. Satin Balls are a high-calorie and high-fat food for dogs that need to gain weight fast.

Satin Ball Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 pound or 450g Ground Beef
  • 1 ¼ cups Oatmeal – All natural, with no added sugar of flavours
  • 1 ⅓ Bran-based Cereal
  • 5 tbsp. Wheat Germ
  • ¼ cup Raw Honey
  • ¼ cup Coconut Oil – Good fats
  • 1 Egg and Egg Shell – Great for calcium

Ground beef is an excellent source of protein, and vitamin B. Oatmeal and wheat germ are fantastic sources of fibre and protein that can also be used for gluten intolerant dogs. Oatmeal also contains vitamin B and omega-six fatty acids, resulting in a healthy coat, skin and brain.
