Those of you who follow us on IG know that things haven’t been going quite as planned… In this article I’ll fill you in on what’s happened and what our future plans are. I really want to pick blogging back up so from now on, you can expect a new blog every Tuesday and Friday. 𤊠Starting from next year I’ll also upload a new YouTube video weekly.
What we had planned
Initially our plan was to find a place to live in Italy, which is why we went to Abruzzo in Spring. In October we left Belgium for the Dolomites. After that, we were supposed to spend some months at the Amalfi Coast and Puglia. Our plan was to find a home where we could live with all of our dogs for the foreseeable future. Whether that was a year or longer was still unclear, but something we were okay with.
What happened instead
This summer, I encountered three dogs that had been tied up and abused for over two years. Each one on a short chain, out in the rain. We tried everything in our power to get the dogs away from there, even started a fundraiser, but unfortunately we were unable to get the dogs confiscated.
After being at the Amalfi Coast for only one week, we got the call. We could pick up the three dogs if we wanted to. I couldn’t believe it at first, but we were so happy that we left immediately. Long story short, we ended up driving 22h straight to Belgium and went to pick up the dogs. They have now been living with us for almost two months. Two of them got adopted already! We actually adopted one ourselves. 𼰠You can watch their whole story on our IG, under the highlight ‘rescue’.
Something really exciting also happened on a professional level, but that’s still our little secret for now! 𤍠More on that soon…
What we’ll do next
Luckily we could transfer our stay in Italy to next year, but only for the same period. This means we’ll only be able to go back in October. We might end up doing a shorter visit in Spring, but we’ll mostly focus on the other countries that we want to explore and go back to our beloved Amalfi Coast by the end of the year.

We ended up visiting a lot of cool places this year. We went to Verona, Chioggia, Abruzzo, Sicily, Normandy, Ibiza, the Dolomites, the Amalfi Coast and the Dominican Republic. đ
